Fr. Daniel Ray, LC was born and raised outside Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  He grew up in the United Methodist Church.  He attended Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance on the French Horn in 1994.  While in college he converted to Catholicism. Following graduation he entered the Legionary Novitiate in Cheshire, Connecticut.  He studied philosophy and theology in Rome, Italy at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum, with a 3 year internship in Atlanta and was ordained in 2006. 

Following ordination, he served in Sacramento California at the University of Sacramento and the National Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe.  For the next 8 years, he served as the President of The Highlands School, a Regnum Christi school in Las Colinas, TX. He is now superior of the Legionary Community in Rye and Lumen chaplain.

Fr. Daniel loves the outdoors and particularly enjoys mountain biking any time he can get to a trail.
